Let me know what you think of the pitcher. I was thinking about getting one myself, but had second thoughts after seeing a negative comment about the handle being too far from the pitcher.

We will upload some new product details and where to buy on monday.

p.s. also having a 4 month old daughter doesn't give me any hope of contributing to forums these days.

Hi Paul - I can't find your espresso cups for sale anywhere - any clue when they may be for sale?
-Thanks!

I kept getting soap bubbles with the Cafelat; definite need more practice. What I noticed with the Cafelat, the pitcher tapers out at the bottom half. With the Anita, because of her lower steam power, the larger bubbles are not rolled downward because of this.

With the common inexpensive tapered pitcher, the Toroid or Motta, because the pitcher wall is narrower at the top than bottom, it promotes rolling of milk. With stronger steam, as my other machine the Oscar, the shape of the pitcher does not make noticeable difference.

This is my third attempt microfoaming with the Toroid. Again need more practice. There is none to show for the Cafelat, as they are just soap bubbles. The handles are all comfortable for all three pitchers. From left to right, Toroid, Cafelat, and Motta; all about 12-oz.

Pitchers were of course tested on my big mitts :) But we went through a year of testing and found that handle to be great. Still handle adjustment is quite easy if need be.

Cups are just going out now. You would think cups would be an easy project but they have been one of the most difficult items to develop and after each adjustment we send them off to the testing labs as well. So minor tweeks take a long time.

Wait until the glasses some out, they are really special.

Chang00, nice photos. Where did you get the 12oz Torroid pitcher from? Nevermind, I see you got them from Visions. Sorry I didn't catch it at first.

Nicely done, Paul, nicely done.

Very nicely made tamping stand... sturdy with a non-scratching, non-sharp body (Flickr link).

My stand came from EPNW today. It's been on order for almost 2 weeks now, and I'd actually e-mailed them to request that they just split my order up and hold the Cafelat stand and ship the other things I'd put in my order. Erin from Espressoparts emailed me back and said "she'd made the adjustments to my order." Lo and behold, this morning I get an overnight package from Fedex, only to find that the Cafelat stand was there--not to even mention my surprise at the shipping updgrade. Thanks guys, you friggin' rock!

As I say, the stand is really well made. This is my first foray into tamping stands in my own home, though I've used a number of them at other home-baristas' setups. I've always liked the idea, but I've never been fond of the metal-only ones that I've used, and wasn't impressed with the look of the old bumper stand. So I just stuck with my rubber mat. This one is stylish, completely covered in rubber, and really well-thought-out.
[edit]Apparently my Cafelat stand is just a sample and I'm jumping the gun on thinking that EPNW has them in stock. Dave White from EPNW wrote in a comment on my Flickr photo, "Well.. we had the one in as a sample and sent it out to you special. Apparently we are "up in the air" as to whether or not we'll be selling them in the future. It is nice though."[/edit]

Hi guys,

anyone tried the group cleaning brush from Paul

http://cafelat.com/product_details.php?tid=150

?

I wanted to order that and the corner tamping mat, but it's so damn hard to get anything from the Cafelat range here in the UK. I can get the corner mat, but no one carries more than a few items and no one at all has the group brush. To make things worse I can't get a reponse from Paul @ cafelat:|

Regards,
dsc.
