Hi.

Since coffee and wheels are tied together somehow (ie. round cupping table, etc), artisan software will incorporate a tool to plot user made wheel graphs by using a graphic interface. Wheel graphs help visualize data that can be broken down into categories, which in turn are broken into components or subcategories. I am looking for categories that are part of the coffee world, or that may contain some coffee educational perspective (specially interested in roasting). Any ideas would certainly be appreciated. Wheel 1

Data: Information collected

Knowledge: The how of roasting from an engineering and chemical perspective.

Understanding: The why of roasting from a flavor perspective.

Wheel 2

Conditions: Initial conditions that influence the roast.

Inputs: Control variables that the operator can change. Input events (power,fan,damper are placed in a timing diagram) and ET.

Output: The BT profile and its benchmarks (first crack, time, etc)

Behavior: How the roaster behaves and how it achieves its goals.

Analysis: Phases, profile and their effect on flavor.

Models: types of roasts.

Decisions: Flavor versus control decisions
