Kudos to Orphan Espresso

Postby peacecup on Thu Sep 29, 2011 4:54 am

Just a quick public thanks to Barb and Doug at orphanespresso. I recently placed an order, realized I mixed up several parts, and needed to send note(s) of explanation. Within just a day or two of their return from traveling, they had the order sorted out and shipped, including a nice personal response.

I'm sure there are plenty of great retailers in the espresso world, but given my affinity for lever machines and hand grinders, OE takes the biscuit.

In my experience, they have gone above and beyond standard customer service.

+3. For leverists, there is no equal. Barb and doug are our rock stars!

Also, not mentioned is the fact that they go WAY above and beyond with the posting of their videos to help lever users understand and possibly repair machines on their own.

I had an issue with my Europiccola and was unable to diagnose myself. Not only did Doug AND Barb help they suggested a fix that meant I did not need to purchase a new part from them. Right then and there they had a friend and customer for life!

+5 (how high could this count go?!)

I don't even know where to begin. I've purchased a good deal of gear from them, and every time, I'm thrilled with the experience. Even bought a restored machine that arrived with an issue. They were great to work with on that, and they went above and beyond to correct the issue.

I'm a lifer when it comes to OE. Even went so far to get an OE espresso cup... my favorite cup now, and only the first that I'll get from them.

If they carry an item I need, I buy it from them. I check their site first. Simple as that.
