Thanks!
I'll trundle down to the local ironmongers, knockboxes in hand and see if I can match the "lasts-forever-tubing" and also report back

3.9375in of 5/16 reinforced rubber gas line works a charm.
Cut the ends on a slight 5° angle for a snug fit in the box.

Just for the sake of thoroughness, have a look at Bumper here.

Same for me... Grindenstein... and also in black. Compact, inconspicuous, reasonably priced & practical.

I love my blue grindenstien - its perfect in every way - I have no purpose for a larger knock box

In reality, it's all a matter of personal preference: I have a (red) Grindenstein, too, but I found it too small.

EDIT: Got it to match my red Olympia Cafferex . . .

Chalk up another one for the Grindenstein. I have a black one and love it!

What about the brown Grindenstein? :P

Thanks everybody!

I ordered a metal one and wood holder but it never arrived.
I will have to check up on it since it was 2 weeks+ ago.
If it has not shipped it seems like a resounding Grindenstein victory!
Mostly because small is good (at this point) due to rapidly diminishing counter space.

If you pull the trigger on it, you could perhaps be the first owner of a brown Grindenstein ever encountered in public. Don't know of any white Grindenstein owners either, come to think of it....

If you've got a counter space issue it's ideal. Fits between the group head and drip tray on most machines for storage when the brew day is done.
All the coffee in Ethiopia won't make me a morning person.

I stand by the one I made for cheap, if you dont want to decorate it it would cost under $11 and take a small drill to make... I bought a candy jar and pastry blender from wal mart and combined the
two.

I have beat this thing to hell and back and stand by it being the best knockbox I have had for home use.

hope it helps!
