Is US Olympia Express distributor out of business? - Page 3

Postby SwingT on Tue Dec 28, 2010 9:40 pm

The Cremina factory does not make the original 2002 fancy styled gaskets anymore, and they recommend having the groupheads sent back to be machined to fit the newest gasket style.

To be clear, the machines changed around 2002, and with current production you can utilize the pre 2002 gaskets -

Heads for the run made 2002 - 2008 or thereabouts can be sent back to the factory to be machined out to current production. Once you have current production specs, the pre 2002 gaskets will work.

At least that is my understanding when I sent my head back to the Oly factory.

ETA - I have noticed that distribution of these machines have changed several times over the years. I expect at some point in time someone will pick up the US distributorship. Or I am hopeful that such will be the case.

Thanks everyone! We will have the Maximatic - Olympia is having it tested & certified (the Cremina has already been done) for the US. It should be available some time later this year.
