Exceptional: Unusual, not typical. Being an exception, uncommon. Well above average; extraordinary.

Exceptional espresso = Godshot?

Ethiopie mentioned the value of a work of art as a reference comparable to espresso, but how about music? There are exceptional musicians and artists. However, they can go broke. Some musicians think they are the best, but the rest of the people don't agree. They may not like the type of music (even if it is "exceptional"), or it may be out of sync with the trends. Those musicians may blame the world for not having the correct-educated taste they have. It would seem as if the value of something depends on the person giving the value. It also depends on the context and circumstances. So even a Rembrandt may be worth nothing when nobody cares for it.

In Chinese philosophy, the empty space of a bicycle wheel is what gives value to the spoke.
