That space should work great for a little espresso bar. I can't wait for the updates showing the finished product. My wife and I are currently in negotiations about how much space I will get for the coffee setup when we re-do our kitchen. So far I am not doing as well as I had hoped!

I will post updates as they occur. So far I have a design and estimate from the cabinet maker and a estimate for the granite counter top. I'm still toying with the idea of having the electrical outlet in the wall/back splash above the counter.
And I'm not sure about drilling the granite for the water supply and drain that might exit through the wall as well holes in granite are so irreversible. Have to get together with the contractor for the install, plumbing and electrical.
The balloons are for my 10 year old's graduation from 5th grade. See what I mean everything collects in that space.

Not a lot to report yet. Met over the phone with the contractor same guy that did our kitchen last summer. He does everything, electrical, plumbing, cabinet install and tile. I've decided the water supply and drain will exit above the granite into the back splash.
Cabinet maker came by today to measure before building the cabinet. He asked if I wanted the cabinet higher than standard counter height (35") I can't think of a reason to unless I was tall but at 5'9" seem just right for me on the kitchen cabinet where it is now.
I still need to study in detail the water filtration layout. I won't be doing water softener only filtration we have very good water in the San Francisco Bay Area. But I want to make sure I plan for flushing new filter cartridges and descaling along with water pressure gauge.
Turns out the coffee bar will cost nearly twice what the Alex II did.
Here's a link to my Evernote planning pad, a very convenient tool.

I'll post more when there is more to post. Edit: The cabinet will be standard 24" depth not 21" as shown in the initial diagram.

Location and plans look great.
I have a 15" sink, 8" deep, with curved spout 10" above counter and 18" above bottom of sink. I get some splashing on counter when washing items, not enough to be bothersome, just enough to notice.
My countertop is 21" deep, not a problem for my small footprint equipment, and the extra room space helps. But it looks like your corner has the extra space to accommodate the deeper size.
Agree with normal counter height. If you want a piece of equipment higher you can mount it on a platform. I have my machine and grinder on an enclosed stainless drawer, further raised on hockey pucks for easy cleaning underneath. Perfect height for a closer to shoulder height lever pull.
I am very happy with backsplash outlets. With the drawer arrangement I can hide the wires in back and they are very handy for other uses too.
Good luck with your job. If you survived a kitchen remodel this should be relatively easy in comparison.

The faucet looks good but if I were doing it over, I would get a faucet with pull-out end to use as a sprayer. That would come in very handy.

Yes! We have a pullout sprayer on our big sink because we thought it would be needed to reach the far corners. We didn't think one would be needed on such a small sink, but it would have been just the thing to prevent the splashing.

I've got a sprayer, garbage disposer, and instant hot water (plumbed thru the filters). The instant hot water is nice for Americanos and for pre-filling my hot water boiler kettle for chemex, etc.

I'm looking at faucets similar in design to the one in my kitchen, in either brushed stainless or nickel, and pull down sprayer, and smaller to better fit the smaller sink; to fit my criteria choices are limited. But I've found a couple to consider.

Just make sure the handle movement clears the back wall. We had to exchange our first choice faucet because it moved too far back and was stopped by the backsplash.
