OK one last post to this thread.
I updated the water supply filter layout. Silly me thinking the input to the regulator/gauge would be from left to right so I didn't check and it didn't work. On further checking I found the correct orientation. Notice the gauge/regulator is upside down now.

While at it I didn't like the kludge of JG elbows feeding the water control shutoff valve so I replaced that with a compression fitting equipped braided steel flex line and rerouted some other components. Now I'm happy
I would like to thank the forum members that provided input and suggestions along the way. Some useful insight. I did learn quite a bit about the process and if anyone is about to take this direction let me know I maybe able to help. Most of my filter components came from Chris's Coffee, I did find freshwatersystem.com an useful resource for John Guest fittings and other stuff.
