Getting ahold of ChrisCoffee? [all set!]

Postby xxguitarist on Thu Jul 28, 2011 1:00 pm

Email seems to be getting nowhere. I've heard back from 1st line a handful of times since sending Chris then Mary an email. Sent Chris the email Monday around 1 PM eastern, Mary was Wed a bit before noon.

Is calling the only way to get ahold of these guys?
Seriously considering spending a solid chunk of money with them on a mini vivaldi II, and this is a little disconcerting.

[edit]
Have heard back from Mary. Probably should have just called!
They've been busy, and thats plenty understandable.

I have no trouble getting a hold of them. I dealt with Mary who returned my email the day I sent it. There were times she was out and I didn't hear back. That's when I used the phone. I don't think you should determine their delay in email response as disconcerting since there are other forms of communication that are available.

On the other hand, I tried getting a hold of a specific person at Whole Latte Love several times via email, vm's into the person's mailbox, and messages with colleagues. Did not hear back once. I don't think this is a reflection of the company (one could argue, since he is or is one of the top dogs there) since other people were responsive to me (just couldn't provide the answers I needed). It was one of the reasons why I purchased through Chris Coffee and not WLL.

I prefer email myself and I've gotten email responses from CC, but calling works best. The people with whom I've spoken were very nice on the phone.

I suppose it's just the contrast with what I've heard about CCS.
I guess I will give a call this afternoon if I do not hear back via email.

E-mail isn't infallible. If you're pressed for time, it's been my experience that Chris' Coffee answers their phone promptly.

UPDATE: Out of curiosity, I called them... Kathy answered on the second ring.

+1 on the phone suggestions. They've answered promptly every time that I called. I bought my K10 from them and am confident that their service, should I need it, will be as prompt.

I am right here all day call me at 518-452-5995 or you can email me at chris@chriscoffee.com.
Mary is a little slammed with Tynnetta on vacation as well as two other office help but we still answer the phone. Funny thing is I get complement after complement from people saying how refreshing it is the fact that we answer the phone and that they DO NOT get voice mail.

The time it took post to this forum you could have called and gotten what ever it was you needed or wanted done.

I am not a current customer of Chris Coffee but sent the parts/service department an email two weeks ago and got a reply within a couple of hours. Needless to say I was impressed and will more than likely call them first when I need or want to buy new equipment. In my opinion most businesses are great when you want to buy their products but may be slower when you have a service or parts question. Chris and his staff proved to me that parts and service are equally important to them even if my current equipment did not come from them.

I've always found that Chris and Mary respond to my emails promptly enough. But they have real work to do and can't be sitting at their desks staring at their email accounts all day. That's why I call if I need to get in touch quickly.

Let me add that you absolutely should buy your machine from Chris. Sales and service are first-rate, without compare. Like me, you're within a day by UPS and less than three hours away by car. I suggest you visit to demo the Vivaldi and get to know these fine people. Recent research has shown that face-to-face interactions are 78% more effective than telephone calls, and 99% more effective than email

Yes, another vote of confidence. Just pick up the phone and give them a call. I bought lot of stuff from them and would not hesitate to buy again. I really liked the service they provide.
