I too keep my eyes peeled for ACF cups at thrift stores, but since they went out of business in 2012, their availability isn't what it used to be.

The Acme cups look nice, and seem to come in more colors than a lot of the other leading suppliers. I would have picked some up at SCAA Expo if I had any room in my life for more cups right now, but haven't really given them a try so I can't say how thick and chunky they are.
I would make room in my collection if I ever found a demitasse available for sale with the Faema logo on it. (PMs gladly accepted)

My two favorites are IPA medium size cups (large enough for a double leaving enough room for a nose), I only have those marked Illy as a leftover from my Illy days but that's OK with me.
The other cups are probably not at all intended for espresso but I bought as I always find myself attracted to biscuit porcelain we bought these anyway as they serve many purposes http://www.serax.com/products/product/S ... 2566307569
Think there are several production runs, I have some old ones we picked up at a flea market and some new ones and the old ones are way thinner and nicer.
We also have some of the flat small 'plates' and those as the cups are very practical weighing and measuring out stuff like spices during mis en place. (Always break up recipes in timepoints and set up everything in stages with portions and parts prepared)

Just an update on the Danesi cups available from Cora Inc. in Illinois. They don't have prices listed on the website, but I just got off the phone with Mary who said they have them in stock, and come in sets of six. A set of espresso (2 oz.) is $11.25 and cappuccino is $15.00 . Shipping for both via UPS came to ~$18.00, although I only live about 2 hours away from their warehouse. These cups seem to be really cool, IMO, and am excited to try them out. If they show up and are of terrible quality,I won't be so surprised based on what they cost vs. some of the other cup prices I've been seeing in my searches. Will report more in a few days.

You guys know about this?http://www.kaffeeform.com/
Seems like a novelty, and an expensive one at that. Plus the retained smell is hardly a selling point. But a fascinating material nonetheless, perhaps for some purpose other than a demitasse. Does this product tempt anyone, from a collector's point of view? I'm just curious.

Funny, to me this looks like a gadget, more than anything else let alone a serious cup.

Seems a bit wasteful to me, as it's far more useful repurposed as compost/fertilizer for gardening. Pretty sure we have someone who goes 'round to a number of the coffee joints around town to collect their spent pucks for composting. Either he's making out something wicked with profit selling it off, or he's got a very serious garden project going on.

5oz notNeutral Meno (black) is my go to cup for espresso. Started with the oversized cups after I had some stellar espresso from single origin roasters in Sydney in a similar sized cup.
