The dream of a mad turner: tamper handle made of pencils

My roastery is next to a turner's workshop. He drinks my coffee and sometimes has some really wild ideas. This was his latest one:





We need a hard wood core:


I had to make the surface of the pencil rough for glueing.









He drives me crazy too :-). Hell, this is lot of work ...





One more pencil layer for the raw body. To be continued ...

Man that sure does look great! I wasn't sure where you were going with it until the last picture. It came together so nicely!.I would spend money on one of these. Very psychedelic looking.

Thanks! A new, the simpliest one is beeing glued together now:


We modified the core-design to make it easier to "assemble".

This will be the trickiest to polish tough. After I sliced the pencils I had hands just like a miner.
