It seems there is a pretty wide variation in cup sizes, particularly "cappuccino" cups. What is the typical size for a capp with a double shot? I have seen 6oz, 8oz, and 9oz. as well as even larger. Are the 6 oz cups normally used for single shot capps? Any info is appreciated that might help me get this straight.

Insert bra cup size joke here.

Not being a capp. drinker, I can't comment on the substance of the question, but a question about cup sizing seemed bound to bring it out eventually. ;)

LOL!

BTW, I use a 6.5 oz Nuova Point cup for both single and double capps.

I am using this reference:

because it agrees with my preference. 5 - 6 oz.

5.5oz (tulip, bowl or traditional cup).
What's in the cup is what matters.

Bit of a traditionalist. ~5:1 ratio in a 5-7oz cup.

I bought a nice, thick 5 oz. cup for cappuccinos recently. I found it a bit too small; now, I use it for that other hot drink (tea). I would buy at least a 6 oz. cup next time.

I also like those glass cups - so you can see the foam from the side; cappuccinos are a handsome drink.
