I was going to say "whaaat" you can get way smaller than that, but limiting it to only one bean makes a lot of sense. However, I'll be back in a bit just making a nano-robotic brewer that fills a custom vacuole in a cell via fluid transfer.

Now on Kickstarter - Mokase - an espresso maker in a mobile phone case. (It uses "wafers" of pre-made espresso and re-heats them.)

Yes, that is exactly what I want on my expensive cell phone, an additional source of heat and water.

What's the foremost problem affecting Italy today? Looming national debt? Clandestine immigration? Nope, it's noisy coffee grinders of course!

Enter the "Noise Reduction Award", a competition to invent a silent coffee grinder that has been started by a science and technology radio program (in partnership with triwu, a company owned by the radio host).

The prize? Your design gets made into a prototype by Faber, a company that makes range hoods. Neat eh?

I was in a Singapore coffee shop, and they had a knockoff EK41 grinder - huge hopper but short body, no markings or proper dial. I immediately snapped a picture with this thread in mind!

I don't know if it's exactly the same (that body looks a little beefier) but we're discussing similar asian grinders over here:

While it may not be this exact one, these grinders are very common over here.
