Remember in 2011 Pete Licata won the USBC and placed 2nd WBC with 100% Kona. And I've had excellent shots of their Kona melange roasted at Daylight Mind Coffee Company while on the Big Island multiple trips. I will also say most of the Kona on the Big Island is tourist trap crap. Not that different than most coffee on the mainland is crap.
Ah, good to know. Thank you!

I believe the same can be said for an even more hyped up coffee with regards to the general public perception. Blue Mountain (Jamaica),
Between order and chaos there is espresso.

Ran out of beans on a remote northern Nevada explore/camping/fly fishing foray last week and this is the freshest bag of beans I could find in Twin Falls, Idaho (most had roast dates from April & May 2016). Quite the "commitment to freshness"...haha!

Today I was looking at green coffee on ebay. I knew the price of coffee was going up, but really?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-lbs-Java-Kayu ... 1945498346

Price: US $2,275.00

Or $1,137.50 / pound

But shipping is free!

Asian coffee would be worth that price if they shipped it to Jupiter or further... Maybe to this new planet found at Proxima Centauri?

I try to help eBayers when there seems to be a problem with their listings. I asked the seller:
Did you mean "200 lbs." for this auction?
EDIT - He fixed the auction- 2lbs./$19.00
EspressoMyEspresso.com - 2000-2023 - a good run, its time is done

Now listed at $19 for two pounds of green coffee. Still pretty steep.
