Radical way ;)

My Strega. :D First I put some 4mm thick bitum mat to outer shell. Then to back I put 20mm thick noise dampening and to sides 10mm thick. It made the sound softer.
Also found out that putting same material under machine, damdened vibe-pump sound even more.
Couldn't post to proper threads, because those were old.

Gatlino - Nespresso Gatling Gun

"It was during one bleary break-of-dawn that I found myself slouched over the machine making coffee and drifting into visions of the Nespresso hooked up to a belt of ammunition, or a machine gun being fed by a chain of Nespresso capsules."

Krups, then Silvia, then Livia 90, then a Techno! Does it ever end? [sigh]

Went to a little Cafe here at a new neighborhood, not a busy place, mainly for people looking ay new homes. Surprised they had a beautiful brand new La Marzocco 3 group. I commented to my wife "this is what I need at home" of course she looked at me with disgust.

The crazy part was when I watched her make a drink for someone (i didn't order one, just a sandwich, I know I have better espresso at home) She didn't clear out the steam wand after steaming milk and there was about 2 lbs of beans in the grinder hopper, I am sure they only do about 1/2 that a day.

I was so sad for that equipment!!!!

I'm actually quite surprised they don't already have a presence in every country. The Italians are in for a real treat.

Considering the long history of espresso drinking in Italy I would expect Starbucks to have the same success there that they had in Australia.
