Thats Robusta crema all day long. Never seen it in such high quantity.. today we almost never see blends use Robusta, and those that still do, sparingly only.(I dont mind a small % of the ol' crema maker in a blend, personally). And you can always tell when they used robusta(or Monsooned coffee for that matter) by the way the crema looks. Much thicker and lumpier.
But in that huge bowl after its settled, the crema looks like icing almost.
You know assuming they kept all the concepts correct and just supersized an espresso machine.. really no reason why it couldnt taste good. Great even. Plenty of people say that when it comes to brewing coffee, bigger batches taste better(Coffee shop uses a fetco, home uses a 2cup pourover), so.. I suppose..

That's some puck! I bet it'd drive the analyzers crazy - "the top edge isn't sharp enough; maybe I need a 4 way!"Bob_McBob wrote:Have you ever felt like your regular machine just can't keep up with your caffeine consumption? Do you need 360 litres of espresso every hour? Here is the solution to all your problems.

Yeah there's no way that isn't robusta! It's just spewing straight crema I've never seen a thing like that in my life ha in the blend I use for my flagship blend there is 10% monsooned malabar and I have to let it rest for at least 5 days or else it's super bubbly and can taste medicinal and gassy. After those 5 days though it's money. My whole shot is crema though. If I don't stir it can taste bitter off the bat for that reason. I always pull into shot glass and then transfer to a vessel.JmanEspresso wrote:Thats Robusta crema all day long. Also agree about bigger batches. I have a fetco as well, and a bunn, I've never been able to make coffee as good at home; even with a chemex or v60. I'm a firm believer in the batch brew, I will always have it as my brewed coffee option at any shop.
