Common Grounds TV

Postby CGTV on Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:13 am

So I hope this isn't considered spamming as its a non profit venture thus far...

Myself and another Producer are shooting a 10 part web series about specialty coffee in Canada. Common Grounds TV is a fresh look at the coffee industry consisting of barista champions, how-to's, some of the best cafes in Canada and coffee related challenges.

Congratulations! I look forward to watching the series.

One caution: please drop the "second most traded commodity" claim. It is an often-repeated myth, with no basis in anyone's statistics. Coffee is very big, but certainly not second. Maybe fourth in agriculture, but also way behind some non-ag commodities such as oil, natural gas, copper and aluminum. Even some of the old claim's most notable promoters, such as Mark Pendergrast, have recanted: http://www.entrepreneur.com/tradejournals/article/198849799_1.html.

Marshall, you mean it really isn't the second most traded? Well, I will just have to buy more then.
