Sorry, I must have missed the part about how the vacuum got messed up. Thats what I was asking.

Oh, ok.

The day after I packed all of the samples, I packaged up 4 more (one for each weekly cupping), in the same kind of Waring Pro vacuum bags that I used for two of the other samples (vacuumed tightly, but maintaining the brick for one, and not the other). I vacuumed them tightly, then shoved them in the freezer. When I went to do my first cupping, I discovered that all 4 bags of frozen beans were no longer bricked. They weren't puffed either, just pretty loose. I left the 3 remaining in the freezer, doing nothing about the loss of vacuum, but keeping them frozen. I've been retrieving one for each cupping.

I didn't follow all of the details of this interesting set of experiments, but I have been waiting for the conclusions with interest. Is there more to come?
