Building a coffee bench - some help please.

Postby Friendly on Mon Jan 10, 2011 8:05 pm

my kitchen is tiny on the scale of small. room for one person and barely enough room to prep anything, so there's no way an espresso machine or grinder and all the necessary paraphernalia will live in it. this means I must make a bench, probably something in my living room. from those who have made one up for their needs, what pointers do you have to share? no doubt you've learned some do's and don'ts!

My inclination would be to dig around Ikea first to see if I could find something suitable.

How about a cart with locking wheels and a shelf or 2. That's what I use for my roaster setup.

Something like this: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70011793 (around $50-60).
