Dang--great find! I've seen only a few good machines at those prices ($75 for clean looking la pavoni, $200 (IIRC) for a beautiful orange cremina) but was always too late! There's always next time ;)

my other thread has more details on exactly where it was in CL and how I found it. In short, creative searching is your friend.

This just arrived! 1983 Elektra Supercasa.

I found it on Gumtree (the Australian version of craigslist) for $180. Fired it up this morning and it's all working great.

Picked up this little 03' timer man for $100 on my boy Craig's List. Cleaned it up with a little alcohol towelette and did a general cleaning. The whole thing had a slight discolored film of brown on it, I presume from being in a kitchen of a restaurant. The burrs are super sharp so I think about 10-50 lbs has been through here (but I have some interesting plans for the burrs that I'll post later).

O, and it came with the mini hopper as well!

I've been wanting to take my Bunzilla off line for awhile to build a much smaller wooden cabinet for it but I didn't want to not have it. Today I picked up a newer G3 in better internal condition for $50. The cover is missing and some of the screws holding it together are missing, but the motor and grind chamber are perfect so when it's finished I'll just move the Ditting burrs to the new grinder.

So if anyone wants a good condition G3 case, serial number around 29000, let me know or it goes in the trash. Free to a good home.

Man! I gotta move to Texas! What a fantastic find - I'd love it just for its looks, even if I never got it working! Mazel-tov!
