My dad gave our mom a new set of pots and pans for Christmas. He's never lived that one down.

But she'd know I was just buying a present for me and I'd know the same so not likely to happen. Her brother had just upgraded the Mac and it got so slow she was thrilled with the return of its old speed. I really should just buy her a new Mini, but I think I'll wait till V2 comes out next year. For some reason she thinks Macs are better even though the PC on he desk has 4 times the memory and is much faster. No accounting for taste!Maybe she was just relieved it wasn't a brand new vacuum cleaner with dual bags???

Substitute "Dual Bag" with "Dual Boiler" and you have my situation exactly.

Isn't this forum the Doghouse?
Hey Dan, you'll never get out - you're stuck down here like the rest of us!
A friend of mine bought his wife an electric shaver.
I never heard from him again
