I would take the Vetrano (dual boiler) over the HX machines any day. Besides, if they go down so will the S1.
I would have bought the Vetrano if I hadn't gotten the Promax for half the price.

Now the Brewtus or other DB machine is another matter...

I do like the 58 mm PF's better though.

Last I checked the Vetrano was an HX and there was no dual boiler from Quickmill available.

Nice thing about the Vetrano (yes, an HX) is the amount of data in the user base here. There are a number of posts with the Scace & EricS thermometer data. For an old techno-geek like me, priceless.

Should we really see a 15% price drop, the Vivaldi, as well as the Vibiemme DB are also strong contenders.

Now I just wait and watch the mysteries of the currency markets

My mistake. I have been thinking of dual boiler machines as something other than a heat exchanger. I mean if you have 2 boilers why do you need to exchange heat? DOH! Anyway, I realize now it is the design of machine but I still need to study the principal better. There is the Brewtus III DB but that is an Expobar machine.
