I wanted to give my espresso machine that old-school Rat Rod look, and add some "speed" to my morning shots, so I added a 4-speed shift knob on my E61 lever arm. Custom made by EPCOmfg. It's 1 7/8" in diameter, has an 8mm threaded brass insert, and has a classic engraved 4-speed shift pattern. I asked them to rotate the normal hole placement 90 deg, up to the top. It might look kind of ungainly, but it is actually very comfortable to use. It gives the lever a little more weight, and swings quit easily. Time to double clutch, downshift, and pull some shots!
