Yes, that's the one. Please let us know what you think.

Hmm, hearing second crack... Not to go on, or anything, but I did a roast yesterday afternoon in which I was able to stop it after the very first snap of the second. Heat gun and a bowl and you hear EVERYTHING! :D . Seriously, I know it isn't for everyone, but after as long as I've been "gunning", I can't see using any other roaster. I even have a convection "Frankenroaster" that gets no use anymore.

With this roast I'm talking about (Kenya Gethumbwini), I've found that it does great if you slow it down after first and try to catch it right before second. Okay, I just barely missed that :( . Darn close though, and the heatgun allows me very easy profile-capability.

Yeah Bob - The Behmor roaster - set at the slower "P2B" setting is harder to hear that second crack then the basic faster "P1A" setting; I will stick with the Behmor, though, for its efficient smoke suppression, relative quiet operation, and other reasons.

I did read about someone buying a stethoscope to listen better to the Behmor crack...

Hey, No more BeeMore cracks

I cant hear the second one ether but I am not as young as some. I wonder if I should use the Behmor for the first stage and than finish it with a heat gun for the second crack? I do mine outside anyway so smoke is not as much of an issue and I got BIG leather gloves for the drum removal.

I can picture myself huddling over the roaster with my stethoscope (I actually found a good one on the street). Would need a fan for the smoke and I am not sure stethoscope's are rated for that kind of heat.
Might have to give it a try!
