Hello all,

Just recently I bought a Has Garanti 2 kg roaster and now I am asking myself:
what kind of grease is best used to maintain it's 3 electromotors?

Any suggestions?

Regards, Rob

I would just guess that the electric motors are fitted with sealed ball bearings and thus are properly filled with the right lubricant. Go to the nameplate data on the electric motor, copy down all the details, and call the motor manufacturer & inquire. Mixing different lubricants and/or overfilling the races can have dire consequences.

my diedrich IR-7 :)* has bearings with a little nib for a greasegun. They require grease every 40 hours of roasting and for some reason the rear bearing needs to be greased while the machine is hot. Diedrich sells a food grade grease for them. You might want to check with the manufacturer.
