I don't have time for this foolishness.
But someone, somewhere . . .?

Sounds like an old school HG/DBer would be the ideal tester. As for kitchen use; I'm way too grande to ever stir anything; I either skim or saute :P

Images of Cylons from "Battlestar Galactica": First, some coffee geek affixes thermo-sensors to the foot pods, then PID, then it's a small matter of auto-determination of "best profile." In off-hours it vacuums my floors and cleans my pool if I had a pool. Uh, oh, I think the little fellow is starting to develop a personality. I think it likes me. Really likes me. No! It's is pointing its freeze-dry ray at me. Zzzzzzzzzzzoop!

So, what's the shelf-life of Martin crystals?

No, I think I'll remain old school, at least until my highs are muted and lows get stale.

(what's that I said about not having time for foolishness?)

Use this in the roaster, cooling tray, or coffee pot? They look interesting, but not sure how long they'd last.

This might be more interesting for Sous Vide cooking or even for a coffee liquor or other cold-process coffee extraction.

Just last night while watching a prerecorded broadcast, my wife and I saw a Robo Stir commercial. Neither of us had seen it before, and at the time I hadn't read this thread.

We laughed quite a bit, but at the same time I was wondering if the product could somehow be used in roasting (the Stir Crazy/Turbo Oven hybrid has been on my mind a lot lately). They do claim it functions in temperatures up to 575 F.

So far no good application has presented itself. The thing vaguely reminds me of the spiderbots in Minority Report.

The bottom is water proof, but the top will surely bite the bag if it gets wet.
