I recently discovered a great way to clear out most of the residual chaff after a roasting session in a Hottop: as soon as you dump the beans and it begins the cooling cycle, pull the chute cover and the chaff tray, and blow as hard as you can down the chute a few times. This seems to clear out most of the chaff that didn't make it into the chaff tray.
