The painful experience of cleaning the M3 roaster - Page 2

Hi Orwa.

I started playing with the fan at the beginning but now I use only setting 5 on the fan. That is enough to push all the stuff out. The other setting is at the end when I use full power to cool the beans.

I also got a couple times a bean trapped in the far drum clearance. It makes the noise you mentioned. Once the bean is gone, the noise goes away.

I've been thinking about putting some kind of paper filter by the fan. That way I would never have to clean the blades. Cleaning the fan blades is my only personal worry.

Cheers

Hello Orwa,

I have exactly the same discolouration on my M3, identical to yours, so I don't think that it is anything that you have done. 8)

Great photo's by the way, thank you for posting them.

I totally agree. A fan setting of five is sufficient for a satisfactory collection of the chaff, and yes, cleaning the blower fan blades is the most annoying part.
