Norwegian needs help with cupping terms...

"Floral nose", this is said about the El salvadore La Florida coffee I bought from Cafe Imports. Does it mean that the coffee smells floral? I have tried to google this term, but I cant find an explanation. Hope someone here can help...

There are two parts: one with good tastes/aromas and another one with what seems to me like defects.

"Nose" is a wine tasting term; and means the smell. "Floral," if that is what you were looking for, is flowers, and is most frequently applied to Huehuetenangos and Sidamo/Yrgs.

Coffee tasters, of course, distinguish between the dry fragrance of the grounds, and wet aroma as the cup is brewing. I'm not sure which one they mean; but most tasters think dry aroma is a better predictor of the coffee's ultimate quality.
