In that case, I'll make the appointment for you at the eye doctor :) although I do agree though that their words can be misleading.

The TMD-56 - http://www.testequipmentdepot.com/amprobe/thermometer/tmd-56.htm is as I quoted. I ordered two and my markup, for you :) , won't be too painful.

checked. That's very good news. I wonder whats the markup of the Omega meters. I mean, this looks like it is the same meter and even at its normal price it is half the price.

You're quite welcome!

Probably. There's a fair chance that they're even the exact same device manufactured in the exact same plant, just being resold through different companies and therefore marked with different brand names. Also possible that the the Amprobe bought the designs of an old revision of the Omega ... I could go on.

Thank you, but no need to go on. Your speculation was already my speculation. However, "probably" is only good up to $99.99. At 116USD I'm looking for either "definitely," or "no." I can't help being cynical. It's the way women draw me.

I won't call it finished just yet simply because there will be an endless stream of tweaks, typo corrections and clarifications. But as promised, here's my comprehensive guide to logging your roasts.

My Amprobe was delivered today.

The specs don't specify what connection it uses but it seems that mini male connectors are likely, given all that I have read about these loggers.

Before I order my TCs for the BT.ET mod, I want to confirm that it is mini and not some other larger connection. Would hate to get the wrong ones ordered.

Here is a picture of the thermocouple it comes with.

Thanks.
