If you are in Israel, you might just as well call Coffee-Tech. It's a local number.

Simply the best taste in what roaster?

The roaster someone competent is running with the best green coffee. There's no best machinery. There's only best operators.

Rather than start another thread, I've merged it with your previous thread to keep your buying decision in one place; it's easier for others to follow versus spreading the discussion among several threads.

Again, if it's a language barrier issue, please consider either contacting one of our own members mentioned previously, who might be able to assist you with crafting a useful post. Or, as suggested, call Coffee-Tech.

Asking "which roaster tastes best", isn't going to help the discussion. It's too vague and highly subjective.

Hmm thats a tough decision? Not really- Sonofresco.

Either A made in Taiwan non US supported roaster supposedly fabricated by hand in someones workshop- Albeit with some shiny Chrome and neat perforated drum mechanism, but also some stainless salad strainer converted to a bean cooler. The creator has said at several points that he does not want to mass produce them so...good luck in the future. Or a US based supported and certified commercial roaster with over decades of happy and dedicated users. Continual development and ohh yeah you can call an actual person in Washington State if something goes wrong.

The same debates yet again.... Air vs Drum, presets vs the new ADR....Artisan V vs the Sonofresco...on and on. Not to mention the well I don't have "X" roaster but this is what I think...

@Day- The on/off of the Sonofresco operates in the same manner as the on off of my PID' Poppery I...the ramp looks smooth after a certain temp and that is in real-time monitoring with a k-thermocouple temp probe jammed into the mass of swirling beans. Regardless you guys can stare at your Artisan graphs all you want and try to figure where it went wrong or right, must have been the flick type discussions. I'll beat the drum of repeatability all day long. I can roast the same coffee the same way (good or bad) today, tomorrow, a year from now. I can also manually roast any day I want and just shut the gas off and coast to my cooling temperature if I feel like it. choices, choices, choices...
Sonofresco roasters are better than yours ;).

Joe,

In a previous thread Sonofresco vs Drum Roaster , the OP is a missionary living in Guatemala and I whole heartily agree with your assessment.

Nevertheless, this is a different case. Apparently the OP is living in Israel; he is not sure about his objectives/criteria/budget in choosing a roaster which best fits his own need; and he may not read/understand our long debates on this subject. A Sonofresco is an excellent choice in US, but we need to consider the dealership/maintenance support of various brands in OP's country.

All,

Cease fire!

I understand but the problem is still the same. Huky vs. Sonofresco is still goofy. Debating which "commercial" or semi commercial roaster on a "home" roaster forum is getting funny.

To be frank someday we are all going to look back and see all the forums go away... you want to know why? Because everyone here and there is pushing the bar higher to where the "home" roaster, home "barista" doesn't exist. If your entry level is no longer a Silvia or Gaggia but is an Alex dual boiler $2k machine and a 1k roaster why come here?

The same people say the same thing over and over. If op is in Israel, they have Israeli roasters, turkey roasters, etc. I'd rather see this guy get a fresh roast or a Lysander pro sample roaster, or an RK Drum, or PID a poppery I then we could talk about anything beside stupid artisan graphs.
Sonofresco roasters are better than yours ;).
