I have experienced "memory loss" on my Hottop several times. About once per year, my stored internal profile gets changed - and I have not figured out how this happens.

I've done nearly 200 roasts since the last time this happened. Today I was getting close to first crack when suddenly the beans were ejected by the Hottop. I checked everything carefully, and ran the roast a second time. This time I paid VERY close attention - the beans were ejected when the Hottop display temperature reached 388F.

When I looked at the stored internal profile, the maximum time was 25:00, but the maximum temperature was no longer 428F - it was 388F. So I did another roast with no beans, and stored the profile with the correct values.

I've used my B model hottop for almost 3 years and not had this issue.

Which model do you have?

I have 8828 B-2K model, purchased June 2012. Maybe I dinged the circuit board while adding various mods.
