Ah yes, I didn't notice it was the underside.

...I threw some beans in water for the heck of it - see if it shows a sign of life ;)

They have added a few leaves in the last few months and were a bit shorter. I bought two pots and put one set in the planter and left the others in the original. The replanted ones are happier but all are sick of being inside. They liked the porch a lot better.
