Dominican coffee - should I try it? - Page 2

I look forward to your impressions Chris - all four did smell nice while roasting, but I like the smell of roasted coffee in general. Thanks goes out to BoldJava for facilitating the fun.

My second attempt at roasting the Peaberry turned out a little better - some quakers in there but I am considering leaving them in.

8 of us at http://greencoffeebuyingclub.com are grading, roasting and cupping/evaluating these DRs. Stay tuned.

I would agree on the Puerto Rican and Haitian coffee. I have found good JBM's from Edgar Munn's farm (last three years) rather than the co-op Mavis Banks JBM. (Mavis Banks mills Munn's but keeps them separate). Overpriced? You bet. Good coffee? Love the cup at Christmas time - - simple, taste is very round, finds every nook and corner of the mouth, full of Hershey's chocolate. Fresh pourover on the morn of Dec 25? Call it Christmas.
