I'm considering getting some of Paradise Roasters' green offerings with a purchase of roasted beans. I'm thinking specifically of the Guatemala Ausoles and/or the Brazil Safira. Has anyone roasted either of these coffees?
I haven't tried them this year, so this is pure speculation.
If I weren't drowning in Yrgs, I'd try the Awassa, since it looks like a winner if you're a Sidamo/Yrg fan. K'au microlots are lovely brewing coffees, and always worth a shot. The rest I don't know, although the Brazil sounds like it's worth a try if you're low on them.
My advice, as always, is to buy a small lot, try it, and buy more if you like it.
Go for the Ka'u. That stuff is excellent (though pricey). One of the original family founders of Paradise Roasters works with farmers in Ka'u to help improve the coffees coming out of that region.
