Cooling the roast and sweetness - Page 3

Here is a question for you Behmor owners in regards to speeding up cooling by opening the door early.
What does the door gasket look like when it is still hot? Mine is all wavey and loose across the top. Once everything cools down it completely flattens out. I just wonder if this is a normal condition or if I have a defective gasket. When the door is shut it seems like a good seal, but now I wonder after observing this.

Wavy and loose is how my Behmor Gasket is - I have not paid attention to the gasket when cool - but I have been opening the door during cool down this summer - Behmor operation seems normal: door seal effective.

I remember reading somewhere about the Behmor Gasket loosing flatness. Joe Behm had responded that it's designed to do this and that's why it's only attached in a few places. I think this was on CoffeeGeek, but since then I haven't worried about it.
