Hi Folks
I got the center 301 thermometer with my Huky 500. I installed the driver, but the Artisan software doesn't seem to be picking up the device.
There is a message "serial exception, unable to open serial port"
My PC is a windows 7 64 bit machine. Any ideas?
Thanks
Stuart

Assuming Artisan reads the Center...
Turn off the Center software if it's still on and leave it off. If it's on, it will control the serial port and won't alllow Artisan to communicate. All you want from Center is the driver, and that functions with the software off.
Reboot everything. Open Artisan with everything plugged in.
If that doesn't work, check to make sure that Artisan is using the correct port and baud rate. Try all the port/baud choices Artisan allows (config tab, "serial" drop down menu) until something functions. If it won't happen for you, hope for someone more competent than me. There are lots of them.
