Hi All,

Everything at the roastery is coming together fairly well, i have been exploring into some other roasting devices which arent drum roasters so that we could have two separate methods of roasting.

Here is where i would really appreciate your help, i would like to build this roaster from scratch : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niEE6-L_SZc

Would really appreciate if someone can throw me into the right direction.

I guess to begin with, i would need polyunsaturated glass, heat gun, blower, far infrared heater.

The question i have is how did he manage to make such a brilliant control panel?

How did he manage to cool the beans?

Some help here would really be appreciated.

Thank you
Abhi

In the Comments, he says the glass is from a gas lamp, so probably borosilicate glass. Cooling is accomplished simply by cutting power to the heater and letting the airflow cool the coffee.

Alright this is where i am stuck now.

I plan to get an infrared hair dryer and use that as my heat source.

The issue is how do i get a controller to control and fan and the heating element separately?

Any thoughts?

I do not have enough knowledge of electricity to answer that. I guess it would depend on the specs of the heater, the fan and the power source.

So i have decided to use the Master PH-1400

Adjustable air flow from 4 to 16 CFM (113 - 453 l/min.) Not Sure if that would be enough

Dial-in temperatures in 10° increments from 130°F to 1000°F. (50°C to 540°C) displayed in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius

LCD with digital display of temperature and air flow settings

Thoughts?
