I'm trying to configure a TC4 to give data input to Artisan using the MacBook Pro and Mac OS 10.6.

I was able determine in the serial monitor of Arduino IDE that the TCs are giving temperature values, but artisan doesn't recognize the input.

I gather it is probably something about the settings of the Config: serial port... but web searches, browsing the artisan site, searching this one has yielded no answers.

Anyone using Artisan (0.9.0) with TC4 on MacBook Pro successfully who can help me out?

Hopefully,

Flint

Issue resolved. With completing this initial post I saw at the bottom of the thread the suggested similar topics: "Artisan error messages with TC4". Jim G advises to use the Arduino IDE to check which serial port is in use. I did that and saw that the IDE recognizes a com port with the letters tty, but Artisan sees all the same port designation except for two letters. Instead of tty it has cu in place of tty. I was able to make that little change in the com designation and now it works.

moderator: the two threads could be merged.
