Probably so.
That Light at the End of the Tunnel is actually a train

In manual ie. by hand, as quickly as you can press the button, in automatic it's a bit slower, but roughly twice a second or so. It does mix everything in the chute, but you have to remember that any static will wreck things quite badly, pulling most smaller particles and dispensing them last.

Then a pulsating electric field should mix particles of different size quite well :D

It would make a hell of a feature name too. "Does YOUR grinder have a pulsating field chute?".

That being said, I always wondered if having a larger grind distribution, but not too wide, would provide better packing of the puck. I have no idea what the results would be in the cup though, and in the end, that's what is really important.

Bottom is in bits as I'm having a few things corrected.

I'm afraid I can't grind that, Dave.

It's probably easier to have no weight on the beans (bird feeder principle) than a constant weight.

I've had better results with a weight on rather than no weight at all. I can always tighten the grind automatically during the end phase of the grind to compensate for any weight changes.
