I bought a vintage Zassenhaus grinder. I have been able to take most of it apart, but have got stuck when i got to the grind setting bolt/shaft.
Can anyone advise on how this comes apart ? Does the grind knob on the outside act as a nut and screw off ? i know it must release some how. I want to re-enamel the plate on the inside. already sanded it all down. Any help would be appreciated

Seems to me that you'd unthread the flat bar at the bottom of the adjustment rod. Once that is removed, you should be able to lift the top (with or without the adjuster in place) and access the bean hopper. But I've never restored an externally adjusting Zassenhaus mill, so I'm just guessing.

The knob does not come off, you'd have to saw off the flat bottom of the threaded part.
