Virtuoso Baratza stops grinding

Postby opus on Sun Jul 24, 2011 5:46 pm

I'm grinding pretty fine, it just stops mid grinding, the motor stops. Then I have to turn it all the way clockwise til I hear it click, then go back. Am I trying to grind too fine? I have take it apart and tightened it up a little, according to their directions. It works fine and when I dont go quite as fine it is ok.

I believe I just had the same problem as you. Grinding course is good, but it didn't seem to have enough power to grind fine. Ours was a demo unit and was on warranty, so we were able to get a replacement. It could have been the motor going out according to one of the baratza techs.

Good Luck.
