aka Super Jolly :D

I'm posting this topic as a follow-up to my rather desperate post "am I that bad? Is the Gaggia Carezza that bad". I've been looking for grinder since everyone (thanks again) kept saying "its the grinder stupid" in so many words.

So long story short I am here to announce victory and show off perhaps the best deal ever!
$200 for this bad boy!!! Did I mention its in New condition?? Not to rub it in but (ok maybe a little) i'm very excited. Thanks again everyone.

Wow! Nice deal. You'll love the SJ. I remember getting mine when I still had my old Gaggia. It'll do a remarkable job for you, enjoy it!

Very nice shape, and a very good deal on an awesome grinder. I'm sure you will find it quite an upgrade over your previous grinder. Also, you can remove the mask now, you have left the scene of the robbery!

Congratulations! Sounds like you got a great deal. That grinder should be the last one you ever need, even if you end upgrading your machine to a bigger and better one down the line. In the meantime, you should be able to get very good shots with the setup you now have.

Have you had a chance to make any espresso with the new grinder yet? I predict your results will be worlds better than anything you've been able to get before.
Lock and load!

I know, I almost felt bad taking from them at that price. Almost. 8) They had it sitting in storage for several years apparently.

Yes I've tried a few times. Not enough to really dial it in but I'm getting close (one shot wayyyyy too fine and another too coarse). But I can tell the grind is INFINITELY better. I'm dumbfounded at not only the quality of the machine but at the amount of control I have. i just need some new coffee and to spend some more time on it. :D

Well that explains the price; if it has been sitting in storage, it has passed the expiration date. Send it to me to be disposed of properly.

I am totally jealous. How did you find it? Ebay, Craigslist,...other?

WOW what a really nice find. Looks like the espresso gods smiled upon you. While not a once in a lifetime occurance that certainly has to be the the best deal I have seen on an SJ in that condition. Congrats and good luck with it.

Yes, well done sir!

I paid more, for a major in much worse condition. Consider yourself blessed, and enjoy the great espresso to come!
