Super Jolly Messy Doser

Postby misterdoggy on Thu May 07, 2009 11:11 am

Well as you know from the other post the SJ is in the house. First impression after a doserless to doser is "What a Mess" Grinds all over the place. Then if you don't want to be drinking stale grinds, you need to clean out the doser EVERYTIME. Hmmmmm

I wonder if you were to modify to a chute, would it make clumps.

Is there nothing to do ? I bought a hand held vacuum cleaner and vacuum each time but......

Bruce... How many questions are you going to ask about Mazzers that have already been beat to the ground on this forum? I can understand if you want further clarifications, but making what will amount to a repeat thread is superfluous and redundant. You've already been advised that the search feature of the site is useful, and you claimed not to know what to search for. But searching the words in your thread title worked pretty well for me.

Search: Super Jolly Messy Doser
Search: Mazzer Messy Doser

Please read The Grinder Forum FAQ Digest. You will find, after not much reading, these threads for starters:

Improving Mazzer Doser Efficiency
How To Tame a Messy Mazzer Doser
Mazzer Super Jolly (2-liter bottle) Doserless Modification

As well as a number of threads that essentially cover many of the other questions you have been asking in your other concurrent threads.

Sorry, it would take too much time to sift through them. Seriously, this is covered in the guidelines:

Guidelines for productive online discussion wrote:Help raise the discussion level: Use the how tos, resources, FAQs, and search. "Newbie" questions are welcome, but they are more likely to receive thoughtful replies if some initial research is done beforehand.

The FAQs sections are not that long. For example, the Grinders forum digest is less than a page and collectively covers most of the questions a new owner would have. They're worth skimming even if you don't have a specific question to answer.

I found that slow movement of the Doser handle when pulling will have ALL of the grounds fall directly in to the basket.

The Macap M4d Doserless will always be cleaner because it puts the exact amount in the PF. You can only get the exact amount out if you measure and only put the exact amount in the machine (without hopper)

I tried to find the thread where someone recommended pulling the handle slowly and thank them in advance for the technique. :)
