I have a Pasquini Moka grinder that is marketed as a "stepless" grinder, when in fact the pin that holds the grind setting in place does so by locking into stepped holes. I thought, no biggie, I'll just put the pin in between the two and run it. The things vibrates so bad it always ends up in one of the holes, no matter what I try. Sometimes this is alright, at certain times of the day one of two settings will work well. Other times tho, I'm either choking the machine or pumping out gushers. Anyone have any experience with something like this? I'd love to have more control with my "stepless" grinder.

I cut a wedge from a wine cork that works quite well on my Pasquini K2 -- just wedge it in the space between the base & the adjustment ring. It works quite well those times I feel I need a setting between the fixed notches.

Wow good idea. I'll try it and post back here how it works.
