Hello Andyman

I have been reading this site for a few years, but have just joined the forums.

I have a few of these grinders that I use regularly. They are the workhorses of the grinder world - practical mills appreciated by practical people. No great prices such as one gets for the ornate wheeled mills, but a knowing buyer will pay a reasonable price.

What is reasonable? I'll pm you.

One that is unused in original packaging has unusual value to a collector. I would guess a No. 4 in used condition (which itself is pretty rare), would be at least $200 and one in original packaging would be potentially close to $1000 or even higher.

These things vary greatly -- a local antique store might have one for $30. But the original packaging is unique as far as I've seen, so I'd suggest not using it if you want to keep the value.

A bunch of photos would be appreciated. Especially if it has a cup.
