I use my rossi rr45 grinder for grinding coffee for my morning pour over since my espresso machine is off in storage right now. I quickly got tired of using the doser so i made a chute out of a plastic lid from a parmesan cheese container and some duct tape. That slowly spilled ground coffee everywhere so i finally bit the bullet and designed and printed (3d printing that is) a doserless chute. It's larger than i was anticipating and but seems to work ok. I used some double sided foam tape to make the bottom part of the chute stick to the machine and not let grounds fall out from the bottom. because of the way the lines of 3d material are layed up not all the coffee actually falls out since it gets stuck on the ridges of material. i have to scoop it down once i turn the machine off. All in all it's easier than the doser, and my lame duct tape and plastic version but not perfect. I'll probably make another one that's more like the rocky doserless and maybe i'll change the orientation of the printing so the coffee flows out better. Michael
I just picked up an RR45 and I think your mod is incredibly cool--way better than that clunky doser for home use. Would you be interested/willing to whip up another one? If so, email me directly at aden@adennichols.com.
I also have a rossi for specifically pourover and was wondering if you are planning to make more. Please contact me at alex_dan@live.com Your design is awesome
