Removing Compak finger guard

Postby UFGators on Fri Jul 17, 2009 5:47 pm

I just got my Compak k10 wbc today and I was wondering how do I remove the useless finger guard without having to bend the outside plastic of the grinder to get a screwdriver in? I would greatly appreciate the help!

Rather late in replying, but remove the front cover (FINE <> COARSE); it's attached at the ends with two plastic plugs that go into threaded holes. Be gentle with it, the plastic snap-in ends look like they won't take kindly to abuse. With the rounded cover out of the way, remove the top from the plastic finger guard (two small Phillips screws); underneath in the upper corners are two larger Phillips screws. Remove them and the guard is off.

Needless to say (for non-lawyers), the above is for informational purposes only. The finger guard is there for your safety and removing it risks bodily harm, damage to the grinder, voiding the warranty, etc.
