I just pm them and hopefully they will give me access to the upgrade function by the end of the day.hankua wrote:New email: Today is the last day to upgrade.

I checked into this and it looks like the upgrade path is a way to get more sieves and that the various design improvements will apply to what you receive whether you upgrade or not.hankua wrote:They sent out an email recently concerning upgrades and logging onto the new web page. I had a lot of difficulty getting registered, but eventually found out the upgrade offered was well worth the trouble. Various design improvement were made while making the new moulds; to accommodate the branding.
I was on the fence on this, not really desiring an upgrade but I went ahead and upgraded anyway because I'm already invested in the system and the price was right. Just not sure where I'll stash all the extra sieves now.

I looked around and nothing immediately jumped out at me. What were the improvements to the design?

They're listed on the Kickstarter page (with pictures):
1) Improved Sieves
1) Improved Sieves
- Our sieves now have a soft plastic over-mould on the edge, which will create a tight seal around the containers and take away any sharp edges where grinds can get stuck.
- We have increased the sieve area by more than 10%, making sieving even faster and easier.
We have also tightened the hole spacing to add more holes and improve sifting efficiency. - We added larger and easier to read sieve sizing.
- During testing, we noticed that coffee grounds got stuck in the corners of the containers so we re-profiled the containers to be rounded and smoother.
- We also added a recessed area for the sieves so they are now flush with the container, thereby removing areas where grinds could get stuck.

I'm somewhat frustrated with the short amount of time they allowed to upgrade. Keeping tabs on kickstarter campaigns is not on my priority list.

I would have missed the upgrade if not for this thread. Even reading the emails, it seemed like they could have done a better job explaining what they're offering.

I'm surprised, I glance at all those emails and that one had "KICKSTARTER UPGRADES - LIMITED TIME OFFER" in bold on about line 5. Figuring out how to get registered so it all worked took a couple of tries but one I figured out my KS login was not going to work and I needed to make a new one, I was in and offered the only upgrade available for $3.40 so needless to say, I'm in so deep it seemed silly not to spend $3.40 so now I'm all in.

Received the email and registered without any problem here. As to the úpgrade', was it just the addition of a 1100micron sieve (for 3 dollar)? I didn't go for the upgrade (didn't 'need' that particular size) but am wondering if I've missed out anything else.ira wrote:offered the only upgrade available for $3.40

Yea, it was just that one sieve and I likely don't need it either, but it was only $3.

Since I originally pledged for the Coffee Lover 2 sieve set, the upgrades offered were for an 6 sieve and a 12 sieve set.
