Piece fell out of Mahlkonig EK43

a 1/2 inch wide metal "J" shaped piece fell out of my EK 43 grinder. it's about 4 " long before it curves
Any idea what it is? I've searched an exploded view and can not locate it

If it is helpful to others I just found out it is the anti static strip. yay I can still use the beast until I get another strip : D
